People go for different education to get job in industry after its completion. It helps us in securing our life and family. People like to go for government job as it offers most job security to candidate unlike private job. In which you may be terminated for your performance or during problems like recession as we seen in 2008. People in private sector lost their job and roam around jobless for many years in search suitable again. But in government sector not even a single employee were terminated. This is why people are going for government job instead of private job.
